Softball Assistant Coach

School Mission:  The Mission of Lowcountry Leadership Charter School is to provide a safe, exceptional academic environment that cultivates independent learning, character enrichment and regional awareness while developing accountable leaders, community stewards, and diverse thinkers through project-based experiences. 

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications: 

Required: 

• Softball knowledge and playing experience; 
• Ability to work with middle and high school students; 
• Pitching experience and knowledge 
• Effective communication skills; 
• Ability to work within Athletic Department guidelines and budget; 
• Must have SCHSL certifications and background check; 
• Available for daily practices and games; assists in game day field preparations;
• Ability to drive activity bus

Desired: 

• Coaching experience at the JV and/or Varsity level; 
• Experience working with middle and high school students; 
• Capable and knowledgeable with regards to fundraising; 
• Understanding of SCHSL and NFHS rules and regulations; 
• Ability to work with individuals and large groups; 
• Ability to work with parents and boosters; 
• Ability to work with local youth softball organizations; 
• Knowledge and capability to perform routine facility maintenance and improvements
