A South Carolina Reading Coach, under the Read to Succeed (R2S) Act, is an instructional leader focused on building teacher capacity to improve literacy through evidence-based practices. They mentor teachers, analyze student data to differentiate instruction, model lessons, and implement research-based reading strategies. This role requires R2S endorsement and provides
job-embedded professional development to increase student achievement.
Position requires the planning, organization, and implementation of the appropriate instructional program to address the learning needs of the teachers; to guide and encourage teachers to develop and fulfill their potential in the Science of Reading.
