Education

Administrative & Instructional Leadership

  • Assist the Executive Director/Principal in executing AIM HIGH’s academic vision, charter goals, and school priorities.
  • Support school planning, instructional scheduling, calendar alignment, and goal-setting.
  • Lead the design and implementation of research-based, standards-aligned curriculum and assessments, including SEL and trauma-informed integration.
  • Oversee compliance with academic regulations (SCDE, federal, IDEA, Title I).
  • Support the implementation of AIM HIGH’s mastery-based, self-paced virtual and blended learning model.
  • Supervise and coach instructional staff, including instructional coaches and content specialists.
  • Foster a culture of high academic expectations, equity, and performance.
  • Lead equity-centered school improvement and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in teacher hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes.

  • Serve as acting school leader in the Executive Director/Principal’s absence when delegated.

Academic Program Oversight

  • Manage the development and evaluation of instructional programs, including online and in-person learning.
  • Oversee master scheduling, pacing guides, interdisciplinary units, and student interventions.
  • Ensure curriculum is culturally responsive, inclusive, and standards-aligned across grade levels and content areas.
  • Lead instructional walkthroughs and oversee classroom and virtual instruction to ensure rigor and engagement.

Teacher Development

  • Support high-quality instruction through instructional coaching, co-teaching, and modeling lessons.
  • Conduct observations, provide actionable feedback, and lead teacher evaluations aligned to growth goals.
  • Model lessons, co-teach, and coach educators in effective, culturally responsive instructional strategies.
  • Identify professional learning needs and lead Professional Development (PD) sessions and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to drive data-informed and differentiated instruction.
  • Lead instructional walkthroughs, observations, and coaching cycles.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making, differentiated instruction, and inclusive practices among educators to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with instructional coaches to ensure teaching practices reflect innovation, rigor, and cultural responsiveness.

Assessment & Data-Driven Instruction

  • Guide staff in analyzing student performance data and using insights to inform instruction
  • Oversee and coordinate assessments, including but not limited to benchmark assessments, formative, interim, diagnostics, and all state assessments.
  • Support the use of academic dashboards, student progress monitoring systems, and personalized intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director/Principal to develop systems for tracking progress and setting academic goals.
  • Manage academic data systems and ensure timely data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead compliance with IDEA, Title I, and other regulatory academic reporting requirements.

Student Support & Academic Systems

  • Collaborate with students and teachers to establish clear, measurable, and motivating academic goals for each student at the beginning of every trimester. Foster a sense of motivation and accountability within the team regarding these goals. Keep the goals highly visible and conduct regular progress assessments to track student achievement toward them.
  • Monitor academic interventions, acceleration plans, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Partner with Special Education Coordinator and other support staff to ensure IEP compliance and inclusive instruction
  • Lead efforts to ensure academic equity, cultural responsiveness, and differentiation
  • Provide coaching on instructional technology tools and content delivery in both virtual and blended formats.
  • Serve as an academic liaison for families, supporting transparency and communication around academic goals.

Family, Community, & School Culture

  • Maintain strong communication systems to keep families informed and engaged in student learning.
  • Partner with caregivers in re-engagement efforts and celebrate academic milestones.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations to enhance learning and enrichment.
  • Collaborate with leadership on restorative practices, SEL programs, and maintaining a safe, inclusive school climate.
