Literacy Coach

The primary goal of the Literacy Coach is to improve the school’s K-8 reading and literacy instruction and student achievement. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting K-3 teachers in delivering effective literacy instruction with fidelity to Ascent’s literacy curriculum. The ideal candidate is a master teacher with experience coaching and mentoring staff in explicit phonics instruction as well as providing literacy-based professional development. The Literacy Coach will complete both routine tasks and larger projects of the corporate curriculum and instruction team.
