College Readiness Summer Enrichment Teacher

Richland One Middle College is seeking two certified teachers to lead workshops and classes for its College Readiness Summer Enrichment Program. In this position, you will primarily work with students in grades 9-11 who are interested in attending a four-year college after high school, seeking to improve their understanding of and scores on college entrance exams, are interested in earning college credits while in high school. The candidate must also ensure that your students are active and engaged throughout the length of class. Our ideal applicant has prior experience working with students in a similar position. The candidate must also have at least a bachelor's degree in your field and a valid teaching license.

Summer Enrichment Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop daily lesson plans
• Lead lectures and hands-on activities
• Assign homework and projects to help your students learn the material
• Administer quizzes and tests to measure their progress
• Provide extra help to your students when necessary
• Participates and college tours
• Monitor student behavior

Summer Enrichment Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• At least a bachelor's degree in your field
• Valid teaching license
• Teaching experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work on an accelerated schedule
• A working knowledge of college entrance exams (ACT and SAT)
